A dual codec DVR offers the best solution for those needing to efficiently manage the viewing and recording of multiple cameras both locally and remotely without compromising video quality over data throughput and vice versa.
The ARM Electronics JH16D1000 uses JPEG 2000 for recording and H.264 for network transmission. This way you are assured of getting maximum image quality when it's needed most and at the same time reduce the load on the network.
ARM Electronics also equipped the JH16D1000 with a jog shuttle so you'll get to control playback speeds and frame by frame advancement in the same convenient and accurate manner you are accustomed to in an industrial grade VTR.
Also of great importance is the DVR's built-in DVD burner, which by recording footage to readily available optical media provides you with a fast and easy way for transferring and archiving event material.
