The AVerTVHD Volar MAX USB TV Tuner from AverMedia is a USB TV tuner, capable of receiving digital ATSC and ClearQAM signals. Compatible with Mac and Windows systems, the tuner supports HD video in 1080i resolution. The included software features time shifting functionality, allowing you to use your computer as a DVR.

I use this USB tuner on my laptop so that I can record a couple of prime time TV shows to watch later. The installation and setup for the tuner were pretty easy and straight forward. I have a mid-level dell and I get pretty decent images and minimal skipping.
My only complaint is that when scanning for available channels, labeling doesn't match the actual channel number. Now, I don't know if that's just my issue as a user or not, but as a casual user who's not very tech savy, this is all a bit confusing.

I get television reception from a roof antenna and wanted to send the signal to my computer which is connected to a video projector. This device does the job perfectly. It would get 5 stars if it cost less but for what it does it's one of the more competitively priced USB TV tuners on the market.

You can really watch tv on your MAC with this product, my only complaint is that the programming disk in the box is so outdated that you have to go online to the companies website and download the most updated software version to get it to work.

More channel then my digital broadcast to analog TV.Easy to setup,work fine with new Toshiba satellite A660,picture and sound quality is absolutely great.None that I can think of that aren't great.
