I could not get the drawer to open. This happened with two models. I don't know if it was me or if there was a manufacturing defect.

The writer was great had problems trying to burn DVDs. Computer wouldn't and still doesn't recognize the blanks that I inserted into the burner, called Aluratek got great response. Emailed Nero (software) got a response two weeks later that made absolutely no sense to me. There is no phone number to call so I guess this piece of equipment will be put on a shelf for the near future.
