Using the Subdude HD on hardwood floor with my Sunfire TSJ8 subwoofer. This little sub has tremendous mechanical energy and easily dances around the floor. I tried "audiophile" grade rubber feet, spike feet (into the wood floor), and granite slabs on top of the sub to anchor it to the floor. None really worked. The sub still moved and produced rattling sounds. Then comes the Subdude HD. This simple little platform solved all of my sub's movement on the floor and the rattling. In addition to solving the previous problems, I can now really hear my Sunfire, and not my walls, floor, cabinetry, etc. Sub now sounds very very musical. There's so many variables when tweaking a sub to fit it's surroundings. The subdude is a simple and affordable option. It's definately worth a try and is very simple to return if it doesn't work in your listening environment.

Works as expected.Reduces the vibrations from reaching your floor and thus to the surrounding walls.This makes the low bass sounds pleasing to listen and you don't have to crank up the volume and enjoy good music without annoying your wife:)

Movies have a greater punch in explosions.

I bought this for a Martin Logan Grotto subwoofer. I put it on my hardwood floors, and replaced the rubber feet with spikes on the subwoofer.

Amazing results. Removed 90% of the resonance, and tightened the bass immensely. My wife likes it because now the bass doesn't permeate the whole house.

I'm thinking of buying a pair for my front towers and see how they do.

Only negative thing is that I wish they had more size options.

Even at low volume, my subwoofer was rattling the oak floor beneath the carpet as well as the walls and everything hanging on them. In the basement below, the loud thumping was unbearable.

With the SubDude HD, not only does the bass sound tighter, but no more rattling and thumping.

The "HD" is a black velour-type fabric, much nicer (and $10 more) than the regular SubDude, which is covered in gray indoor-outdoor carpet.

Expensive, but worth every penny. I'd buy it again.

I'm using this to decouple a relatively small subwoofer, which is more for music and good sound than knocking the air out of the listener. I live on the top floor of an apartment, and I'm trying to keep my neighbors from hating me. With the sub on the floor, I could feel the walls vibrating along with the floor to the bass. After decoupling with the SubDude, the vibrations were largely subdued. I could still feel hard hits at decent volumes on the wall, but not the constant shaking of before.

My only issue with this is that it is semi-pricey for nothing more than well cut pieces of foam. That aside, it is very well designed and high quality.

All-in-all, it's a good start to calming down the transferred vibrations of the sub to its surrounding areas.

Use under my Rel T1.
Seems to subdue excess boom but not reduce the sound output.
I hear a better concentration from my Rel T! instead of a blurring, bouncing, bass. Very happy with this product. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

I have two sub-woofer's in my apartment one that goes down to 33 Hz and the other goes down to 22 Hz and I noticed a definite decrease in sound transmissions into the floor for both sub-woofers. When listing to my Klipsch sub-woofer that goes to 22 Hz I notice much cleaner lower frequencies and Avatar does not shake the entire floor when something moves in that movie and sounds amazingly clean. Also when listening to bass heavy music, such as Parliament the base is very crisp with the SubDude HD. Very impressed with this product. I purchased another one so I did not have to transport my one from one sub-woofer to another.

This product worked great. I just moved into a new place with hardwood floors and the bass my sub was producing became extremely punchy. I did some research and decided to give the SubDude HD a try. Sure enough my lows are clean and crisp again. I'm sure my upstairs neighbors also appreciate less rattle coming from a new tenant.
