Comments about Photoflex Dual Shoe Flash Adapter Kit:
Was concerned about its durability after looking at the photos, but it is a lot more sturdy and solid than I originally thought. I was waiting for some custom dual flash brackets, but they took too long so I just got this and am very glad!
I use this with a 46" Softlighter II and after a few work arounds, it works great.

Comments about Photoflex Dual Shoe Flash Adapter Kit:
Crude manufacturing.
Wish it came without umbrella bracket (much preffer my manfrottos).
It has to be assembled very tight or the bottom portion of the stem will unscrew.

Comments about Photoflex Dual Shoe Flash Adapter Kit:
This bracket works as advertised, and is of better construction than I expected. The materials/hardware are all quality pieces, and the shoes are compatible with a variety of flashes (including Vivitar 285 and Canon 580EX II).
It is possible to position the flashes so the heads are vertical, by adjusting the top half to a ninety degree angle from the light stand, but be forewarned that this creates a slightly unbalanced rig. This would best be done with a large lightstand or even a tripod.
I typically use this bracket with a pair of Canon 580EX II flashes and a pair of Pocket Wizard Plus receivers.
