- BD-Live technology will enable you to connect this system to the Internet to download such data as additional scenes, shorts, trailers, and to join in multi-player interactive games that are linked to BD bonus content contained in Blu-ray discs. Note, optional memory upgrade (part# USM1GH) and Internet service are required to access BD-Live content.

With this system you will enter the surreal world of Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD Master Audio/High Resolution decoding. DTS-HD Master Audio supports bitrates up to 24.5Mbps, 7.1 discrete channels of 96KHz/24-bit audio, and is ideal for HDMI Version 1.3 cables. This technology reproduces true-to-life audio the way the director intended. DTS-HD High-Resolution Audio also offers 7.1 discrete channels of 96KHz/24-bit audio, but only supports bitrates up to 6Mbps. Simply stated, it will reproduce the high-quality (cinema) surround sounds intended by the master soundtrack studio-editor.
In addition to HD audio decoding, the BDV-IS1000 uses specific Dolby Digital/DTS codecs and Cinema DSP Digital to reproduce an enveloping surround sound experience. The unit decodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, and DTS audio. The dynamic range of this system is so well balanced and matched that the center, front and rear channels blend seamlessly.

- With the BDV-IS1000 you have the ability to listen to your favorite music or audio from your TV in other rooms throughout your home (wirelessly). S-AIR technology automatically syncs to allow multi-room listening through simple, wireless plug-and-play technology while letting you control what you listen to.

- The included wireless surround amplifier (model WAHT-SA10) offers the ability to expand your surround sound home theater system without making unnecessary holes in your walls or floors.
