In CCTV lingo the term Real Time refers to a recorder's ability to capture a full 30 FPS off of each camera input. The ARM Electronics RT162250DVD Real Time Networkable DVR is therefore uniquely suited for environments with fast changing scenes such as traffic surveillance, or in situations where every frame counts such as when monitoring a cash register or a store entrance. Given these abilities, ARM Electronics wisely chose to go with MPEG-4 - a codec capable of maintaining quality video images while keeping file sizes to a minimum. ARM Electronics also equipped this DVR with an Ethernet port so that you're never more than a click away from viewing cameras and recordings over the Internet. Other important features include a motion detection system adjustable for area and sensitivity, and a USB port and a DVD-R/W drive to facilitate the quick transfer and archiving of event material.
