This Silvestri 5x7 Sliding Back Adapter Interface Plate acts as a liaison between Silvestri's 4-point mounting interface, found on their Bicam/S5 micron/T30 cameras, and Toyo 4x5 cameras.
The front of this interface plate (where light would enter) is machined to fit onto the rear of Toyo 4x5 cameras, and the rear (where light would leave) looks just like the rear of a Silvestri camera with 4-point mounting interface.
This plate therefore allows the Toyo 4x5 cameras to use Silvestri's fine 5x7 Sliding Back Adapter, which permits stitched images with digital backs.
