Whether you're looking for your first studio lighting kit, or just want great value in a 2-light outfit, the Bowens Gemini 500R 2-Light TravelPak Kit is a brilliant choice. Two Gemini 500R monolights each provide 500 watts of efficient light with 5 f-stop power variability and a 1-second recycle time. A small Bowens TravelPak provides portable power (up to 150 flashes at full power) for the monolights, so you're not tethered to any electrical grid. An umbrella and a softbox will soften and/or spread the light, and two light stands provide support. Power cords and a sync cable round out the set-up. This is affordable, high-quality light in a compact kit.

Did ALOT of research before I dropped [$] on these puppies.... BUT was VERY HAPPY I DID..... the lights are AWESOME! Build qualities is GREAT! Strong Metal Construction on the lights, Easy to setup... The STANDS are a LITTLE WEAK but all in all GOOD LIGHTS!!!!

Quality of the unit is superb. Stands are stable and well made.
Battery is great!!!
My only complaint is the case quality.
This one I really don't like.
I looked at Elinchrom, Hensel and Profoto, but no other system around offers the versatility of Bowens at such a reasonable price. They still aren't the cheapest lights around, but I feel they are the most cost effective option in terms of quality vs. price.
