This Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set represents another step forward for remote control triggering of flash units--instead of the usual radio receiver temporarily attached to the outside of your monolight, this card plugs into a slot designed for it on the Bowens Gemini R or Gemini Pro monolight, creating a more secure connection. Fit the included antenna into the socket provided on the monolight, and you've got remote control (up to 300' away) using the PocketWizard radio trigger system.

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
On initial setup on a workbench, I felt that these units would be great - triggered every time. Then, in a real world photo shoot, they let me down. For a total of 337 shots (it was a small shoot) one or more units failed to trigger 17 times. That's a 5% failure rate. For a large event (2000+ shots) this would be a disaster. It was embarrassing enough in the small shoot! Going back to Pocket Wizards only...

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
Got the Pocket Wizard version instead of Pulsar because it seems Pocket Wizard is more "used" by photographers. Easier to sell or use with other devices besides my Bowens lights. Kinda expensive for a single use trigger. For $20 more I could have gotten a Pocket Wizard II transmitter that I could use for anything. But I bought into the "all-in-one" flash strobe. Yes its invisible except for the small radio antenna. Cant recommend for all users to buy. The optical cell worked fine for me also. But if you dont mind spending [$] for 3 cards it does work perfectly fine.

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
I use this product in my studio so that I'm not tripping over cords. I really like how light it is and barely notice it on the top of my camera. It is pretty quick and has almost always worked for me. It seems that if I turn my shutter speed up too far, there is a slight delay; otherwise, I've not had any problems. I've heard this is the best card out there and am completely satisfied with mine.

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
The rubber covers can not be put back in perfectly when this card is inserted. It works with the new FlexTT5. The range is not that good. However it can be improved if lift your FlexTT5 antenna vertically. For the price I rather attach another PW instead of the card for easy switching between each strobes

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
Ordered two of these for my Bowens strobes, one worked just fine. The second one was a dud which really surprised me coming from Pocket Wizard.

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
No more hanging pocket wizard receivers. No more velcro, straps, bungies, rubberbands! Just insert this into your Bowens PW equipped monolight and attach the included antenna, and set the channel using the "LEARN" function as detailed on the included instruction sheet. This was very easy to do-I used my Flex TT5 to perform this--- and you shooting wirelessly in under a few minutes. Also, to choose a specific channel or if you don't know what channel your PW Flex or mini is set to, you may have to use you computer and the pocket wizard utility to check or change the settings.

Comments about Bowens PocketWizard Radio Trigger Card Set:
Unreliable, no range, triggers lights less 1/3 of the time and a waste of money. Stick with the Plus II or better PocketWizard and you will be happy. Don't buy the cards. I thought I would keep things simple and get the cards to make life a little easier. What they don't tell you is that the cards only work on one channel. They are rated up to 1600' but you are lucky to get 30 feet in the real world. Wood, cement, water and people drop the range. OK, so that is everything at every event.
