Benro C-258M8 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs - Supports 26.5 lbs (12 kg)
The Benro C-258M8 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs is lightweight and high-quality using carbon fiber technology for its leg construction. It is augmented with the inclusion of components constructed of magnesium which makes the tripod lighter and stronger than its M6-series predecessor.
C-series tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, a reversible center column with spring-loaded weight hook, foam leg grips, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips, reversible 1/4-20 to 3/8" mounting threads, a compass and bubble level, and mounting set screws.

- Magnesium elements are 30% lighter than the cast aluminum ones, and provide excellent stability.
- Adjustment Leg Angles
- Three leg-angle settings (24, 55 & 80°) accommodate uneven terrain or awkward shooting situations.
- Durable
- Improved dust and rubber-resistant leg lock design prevents dust or moisture from entering the interior of the leg twist-locks.
- Anti-twist leg sections and a grooved center column make setup and breakdown quick and easy.
- The three set screws in the camera platform can be used to permanently secure the head to the tripod, providing additional security.
- Removable rubber and stainless steel spike feet provide a secure grip both indoors and outdoors.
- The retractable spring-loaded hook can be used to add stability with a sand bag or equipment bag.

I am an outdoor photographer who is hard on equipment. I finally killed off my old aluminum tripod and decided to go carbon this time. I am very pleased with the feel and function of this tripod, and it will be heading into the Yucatan jungle in a week. I have no doubts it will be a great replacement for my old Manfrotto.

Plenty sturdy with Canon T2i and 100-400mm on a large ball head. Great for binocs, small telescope and video camera on a fluid video head. Love how light it is.

Easily supports my Sony A700 & Minolta 600mm APO although if there is significant wind, as is true with carbon fiber there is slight oscillation due to the construcyion of the legs with a heavy lens. Smaller, lighter lenses do not cause oscillation.[...]
