The Benro A-058M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs is lightweight and high-quality using aluminum technology for its leg construction. It is augmented with the inclusion of components constructed of magnesium which makes the tripod lighter and stronger than its M6-series predecessor.
A-series tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, a reversible center column with spring-loaded weight hook, foam leg grips, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips, reversible 1/4-20 to 3/8" mounting threads, a compass and bubble level, and mounting set screws.

The product works great for what I need it for. I am a college student studying photography and needed a good tripod. This tripod is sturdy and works very well for landscape photography.

I do some panoramic photography and I needed a light tripod that I could set up quickly and also one I could hike with up to those beautiful spots worthy of panoramic photos. This is perfect! It's light, small and also comes with a level on it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it has twist locks and sometimes I have trouble getting them to secure properly. I prefer snapping locks. Oh yes- and a GREAT PRICE! But a great tripod for on the go photography!

I just did a review on the Magnesit 35 Nm Ballhead by Cullmann. This tripod and the heads have the same problem, the paints come off from these products. Read the facts before you buy these products.

If you are looking for a tripod to carry in a suitcase, hold a dslr w/large telephoto, light enough to hike with and low cost this is for you. It gets the job done. If you want a fancy tripod with all the bells and whistles, saving a couple of ounces for 200 bucks, holding up Stone Henge, go buy a gold plated carbon fiber.

How could anyone expect a 2.5lb tripod to provide the same stability as one designed for large cameras? Get real! This little Benro is perfect for traveling, especially getting it aboard commercial flights without the TSA having a fit. I can lash it to my backpack without the legs getting in anybody's way and still have a very useful piece of equipment for those special shots.

I have a few other heavier tripods for heavier duties. I need one to travel with and this fits the bill. Yes, the last legs are pretty small but compared to other small tripods, it is very sturdy. For the money, it is very good.
I use it for up to the the 40mm to 150mm Oly kit lens with the E330 and the Cullmann 40200 ball head. The ball head is another very good value buy from BH. I find this little tripod serves me well when I don't need to use my Gitzo 2220 and the big Bogen 3233 tripods. For the money spent, this little guy beats the big $$$ Gitzo.
Everything has its intended usage. Buy according what you need is the best way to do it. You can't beat the Gitzo 2220 for all around daily use. I bought all these from BH over years of patronage. Their customer service, I haven't need to use them for years. They are that good!!
Comments about Benro A-058M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs - Supports 8.8 lbs (4 kg):
The overall quality of the tripod was good but with the four leg sections it was not very sturdy. I hung my camera bag from it which helped stablilize it a bit but in even moderate wind (like at the beach) I think that it would sway. I ended up returning it.
