The Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs is lightweight and high-quality using aluminum technology for its leg construction. It is augmented with the inclusion of components constructed of magnesium which makes the tripod lighter and stronger than its M6-series predecessor.
A-series tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, a reversible center column with spring-loaded weight hook, foam leg grips, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips, reversible 1/4-20 to 3/8" mounting threads, a compass and bubble level, and mounting set screws.

Great for taking pictures when you need to keep the aperature open for a long time (greater than 1/2 sec)
Sold construction - does not feel like it will tip over easily.
Great flexiblities with the legs - can bend it so that it will be low to the ground

Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I had a heavier tripod that I hardly ever used. Not as light as a carbon fiber tripod but it does the trick for me. Stable, holds my 7D with 100-400 without issue. I'm 6'3" and it is plenty tall enough for me. Can't beat it for the price.

Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I bought these as a means to support the full Wimberley head and a 300mm f/2.8 IS with pro body attached, flash bracket, and flash with better beamer. When I got my 500, I wasn't sure it would support the weight, but not only did it support it, but it was solid as a rock. I hauled the whole rig around with me all day yesterday and never once had a concern about instability or failure of the legs. They are not lightweight legs, but they are certainly solid and offer excellent support.

Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
Well, for 150 bucks I've got to say, ....nice tripod. A poor mans Gitzo I guess, I now prefer the heavy duty rubber twist locks, (anti-rotation by the way), so they set up quick. Not near as heavy as I thought but when you factor in a PhotoClam 44NS then it starts to weigh some. It's sleek, and tall, I can shoot eye level straight up at the moon if I want with out the center column raised. I photograph mainly birds with a 400mm lens. When I'm not shooting handheld, this tripod is a stable, solid performer in the field.
The carry bag is quality, except for the inside zipperd pocket. I too like the carry strap that can go on bag or tripod.

Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I'm 6" 3". I wanted a tripod I could could use without extending the center column, without bending over and would be solid. I was hoping that the Benro would last a few years. After seeing it and using it and am extremly impressed! This has to be one of the best made Chinese products I have ever used. Solid, beautifully made. I love it. I would buy it again. The padded bag and tool set that comes with it are just as nice. Excellent buy for double the money.

Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
This tripod works great! Very sturdy, even in windy areas and well made. I like the case and the shoulder strap. The strap can be used on the tripod without the case, great feature if you want to go lighter. The weight of the tripod is manageable even on longer hikes.

Most of the time I am doing nature photography with this product. Sometimes when the field is muddy it is hard to open the lowest leg, otherwise it is a good tripod!

Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I have been using this tripod for about a month for landscape and nature work. I use a Gitzo 1575 head with a D300 and 70-200 f2.8 and 300mm f4 longer lenses and with a Giottos MH-1301 for the shorter lenses when hiking. The tripod is stable and easy to adjust.
Comments about Benro A-358M8 Aluminum Tripod Legs:
At this price we actually could not ask for more. Very stable when 3/4 legs are extended.
