The Benro MC-91M8 8x Carbon Fiber Monopod offers the ultimate in strength, lightweight, fast-action, and reliable performance. It uses 8-layer, 2nd generation carbon fiber technology for its leg construction. This 8x tubing is 60% stronger overall than conventional carbon fiber tripods. This is achieved by using more fibers and less epoxy in the manufacturing blend.
This monopod features a fold out tripod at its base, for added support and stability. This allows the monopod to be used with much heavier weight loads.
Additionally, all M8 series monopods feature a closed cell foam grip that acts as an insulator, adding comfort.

Comments about Benro MC-91M8 8X Carbon Fiber 4-Section Monopod:
I bought the monopod to photograph night scenes on my trip to New York. With the intention of capturing the amazing fireworks display over the Hudson River, I set up the monopod and was excited to try out the built in tripod leg support. Althought it's a great concept, it wasn't as sturdy as I had hoped. I work with a Nikon D80 and had my 18-135 mm lens attached. There was a minor breeze and the monopod wasn't able to keep my camera still enough for really clear shots.

Comments about Benro MC-91M8 8X Carbon Fiber 4-Section Monopod:
This monopod surpassed my expectations. I've never owned a piece of equipment this durable and lightweight. It holds my D300 and 70-200 f2.8 with ease.
A neat feature is the legs that come out the bottom to help support your equipment. I have balanced my camera equipment on it, however would not be comfortable walking away and leaving it without someone holding it. It may be capable of holding a heavy camera and lens, but I just don't have the nerve to take that chance.
Great item! Definitely worth the money.

Comments about Benro MC-91M8 8X Carbon Fiber 4-Section Monopod:
Amateur photog looking for great carbon fiber monopod. I FOUND IT.
I researched and looked all around. I didn't need a gigantic monopod. I wanted to buy one to use for my Canon T1i and 70-200 2.8 IS.
Yes, it's light. Yes, it's small when collapsed. The neat thing is the feet! Yes, the magical feet that come out after unscrewing the bottom.
Believe it or not, I have felt comfortable having my camera mounted on a ball head and the monopod without me holding it. Of course I don't recommend it, but the feet are stable enough to hold a big rig (with a grip).
What makes this different...the feet!
