very steady for my Nikon lineup, I mount my D300s and Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 HSM on this mono very often. It's definitely a great combo. The monopod is still light weight, very well built...

I purchased this product for amature use, mostly kids sporting events. it is very solid and sturdy and does exactly what it is supposed to. I would have preferred the flip locks in stead of the twist locks but I am very happy with the product...WORTH THE PRICE

Has enough height. Most others are ok but too short. Well built.

Comments about Benro MP-98M8 Aluminum 5-Section Monopod:
I bought this to use in family's vacation to Washington D.C. for this year's 4th of July celebration. So far I've only been able to take it out around town and to a park or two and really enjoy it.
I do like the very sturdy build and tight locks it maintains between sections.
I feel the 3 tiny legs could've used a bit more tweaking in regards to how they're situated instead of having to unscrew the the metal bit at the very bottom, let the legs fall out, and screw it back in...but, hey...it's not an actual tripod. As far as the added stability goes...it's great...obviously on flatter surfaces, of course. However, I wouldn't make it too extremely tall and walk away from it for safety's sake.

Comments about Benro MP-98M8 Aluminum 5-Section Monopod:
This Monopod is really amazing because it's lightweight, it's height is around 2.00m (more than what it is announced) and the quality of the product is really cool.
I bought this one and forgot to buy the head but I use it with a Canon 7D with battery grip (two batteries), flash and medium size lenses (18-55mm, 75-300mm, 28-105mm) and believe it gets pretty heacy but tis Monopod can handle upto 25Kg which is 5 times the weight of my camera.
Pearstone added a tipod base at the bottom which can be removed or not and easily stored inside the monopod, with this, i can place the camera and take it to the highest size and it can be resisted but it is quite unsteady at the top levels or at it's biggest size, that's why i put just 4 stars.
