Interfit SGM100 Flex Mount for the Nikon SB600 & 800
This is an Interfit SGM100 Flex Mount for the Nikon SB600 & 800 on-camera flash. It is an integral part of the Strobies series of flash light shapers.
There are several light shapers that work with the Flex Mount. A Snoot, Barndoor Set, Softbox, Honeycomb Grids, and Bounce Cards are available separately.
The Flex Mount is correctly fitted when your flash cannot be pushed any further inside it and is flush with the central hole.
- Color gels may be fitted inside the Flex Mount
- For best results and to avoid damage, attach any shapers before mounting the Flex Mount onto your flash

The fit is not consistent with manufacturers description. The weight of adapter along with tool of choice is so heavy you must literally hold when using which makes it impossible to manually focus your lens.

I like that the Flex Mount easily fits onto my Nikon SB600, but I don't like that it falls off just as easily...it NEEDS to be taped on, or it will fall off. This item, should come with a roll of heavy Duct Tape to ensure a secure mount fit. Otherwise, its perfect!

You have to have this mount in order to use the Strobies Globe Diffuser--and it works just as great as the diffuser itself. It stays on the flash well and the globe attaches firmly and easily to it.

I've not had a problem with this attachment so much as move while on my flash unit. material's more of a hard/solid plastic than rubber.

Useful for outdoor fill and indoor formals off camera with Stobies softbox. It doesn't secure to the flash as well as I'd like which is an issue when you change batteries. Works well when flash is mounted on flash bracket or hand held. Don't recommend it for on-camera use.

You'll need one of these in order to use the Strobies light modification accessories. Its easy to use and pretty tough.
It can however slide off the flash if you are moving around a lot.
