Low cost is always a good idea.

For the price I wasn't expecting a high quality item but it fit the bill for low cost experimenting, which was my reason for trying one.
I use it for remote hot shoe mount flash units unattached to cameras. It provides me with more lighting options in tight spaces when setting up in a studio.
The female PC connection wasn't tight without some modification to the male end of a PC cord (squeezed slightly with a pair of pliers); therefore, I leave a short (modified) PC extension attached.
I wouldn't recommended using one on modern digital cameras with older flash units designed for analog photography. Digital camera low voltage requirements may require a safe-sync unit instead.

This is fun to have in your bag for playing with older cameras. If you want to use this with a digital camera, buy a more expensive version. It doesn't fire every time on digital cameras, at least on my canon 50D or 5D. It works well on my film cameras. Only problem I see is it has no way to lock onto your camera. On newer cameras were flash units have a latch this slides right off. For what I use it for it is a Fun toy.

Comments about Interfit STR115 Hot Shoe Adapter - Standard, with PC Terminal:
The pc connector on the side is a very tight fit. Once you get the cord on, it does seem to work okay, but the construction is questionable. It seems that the pc connector moves inside the hot shoe adaptor. I guess we'll see how long it lasts.

I tried to use these with some pocket wizards on a Canon rebel and a remote Canon flash. No communication. I returned the hotshoe adapters and got a more expensive kind.

It worked great the first time I used it. The second time I used it, the PC connection on this thing started to come apart. When I plugged in the sync cable, the metal ring on the connection came loose and was just pushed back into the unit and wouldn't work at all. I grabbed a screw driver, popped it open, and was able to get the ring pushed back to where it goes. It works like this but it's just a pain having to constantly fix it. Plus the bottom is now loose and needs to be held together with gaffe tape.

It worked great when I got it, but the hole for the PC cord is loose now and it doens't stay in very well. So I have to use tape for it... Just buy a flash with a PC hole built it.

These are nice to have on hand for location lighting with my Canon 550 flash. The PC terminal allows me to fire my flash via Pocket Wizard.
