I was looking to get something that was inexpensive for my new home studio. It's a great price but not as sturdy as I would like. I think I'll get good use out of it overall, but I can't see myself using it for long, if I want to use a bigger/wider background. And when I mean bigger, I foolishly purchased the 107x12yd background paper and this support was just a few inches shorter!! What a pain, why not make this just a few inches longer so that it would fit the 107x12yd? I'm more annoyed with myself thinking that I'd be able to get away with it. But learn from my mistake, if you plan to use the longer/bigger paper, don't purchase this.
One other thing, one side/top part of the stand was oiled and when I touched it, it stained my paper background. Didn't expect one side to be oiled and not the other.
But honestly, this is a good start up piece but you may want to consider something sturdier and bigger/longer depending on what paper size you'll use in studio.

Great Starting Out Equipment
This product works well for light use and is a great starting kit for a beginning photographer looking for a quick fix to backgrounds. Very lightweight and portable, it works well for events.
This product works well for light use and is a great starting kit for a beginning photographer looking for a quick fix to backgrounds. Very lightweight and portable, it works well for events.
The stands collapse well, although not air-cushioned, and extend to about 8' tall, working well with the average lightweight background. The telescoping pole is nice and sturdy. Easy to set up right from the bag. Made of aluminum, they are lightweight. However being that they are made of aluminum, they are not exceedingly strong, so you cannot put a large paper roll on this stand. The stands are susceptible to damage if not taken care of. The stands can be very flimsy and top-heavy. For this price it is reasonable, but don't look to this equipment for longterm work.
Carrying Case is cheaply made and not pretty but works.

The telescopic crossbar makes this stand very versatile. This is very important for shooting in tight places. It is this very feature that I chose this background stand over others where the crossbar comes in 3 sections. 3 sections means you are limited to 3 widths. The telescopic crossbar extends anywhere from about 3 ft to 8 ft. The entire unit is very light and easy to transport. Great for the price.

Decent value for the price and B&H provided free shipping. Not the strongest item, but easy to collapse/store and good for indoor or outdoor use on good weather days. My complaints are that there were no directions and that one of the velcro pieces on the carrying case is hardly attached. I wonder if this item was returned? If the item did have directions/some sort of document with it and the velcro was fully attached, I would have given this five stars.

I havent had a chance to test run this with my clients yet but I did set it up to get a feel for its stability. Overall it isnt the sturdiest product but works very well for what I am doing. I actually dont buy professional backdrops, rather I make my own from upholstry fabric or sheets so I am not sure how it well it works with the professional backdrops. I don't often use a backdrop set, but I wanted to have something light and portable for the few times I do need something and this def fits the bill.

Just finished using stand with a muslin. Was photographing a 5yr and a 2yr old, and it was pretty sturdy given the kids did bump into it. Would recomend using some sand bags to weight it down if shooting outside and it is windy otherwise should be fine as is.

I like how much the back drop stand collapses. The tiny black screw tops (for the cross piece) are poorly crafted but seem obsolete in the end. I think it will prove to very handy because of how portable the stand is. I also really like having a case for transportation reasons.

Comments about Interfit COR760 Background Support with Telescopic Crossbar, Small:
Stands are the typical budget stands. The cross bar is pretty thick so it was impossible to hang the white backdrop I purchased without using A-clamps. Not an issue though. When assembled it was a little flimsy. I found the brass pegs when I started putting it away and noticed that there was a pocket on the storage bag. Make sure you check there first! I will be using this for headshots, some portraiture and as a scrim for food photography.

While it might not be as sturdy as pricier models, this does it job well. You may want to put something around the stands (sandbags, plants, etc.) for extra support, but if its not out in the wind or being leaned against the stands works just fine.
It's also VERY easy to set up!

Used in a home studio
I will probably get something a little sturdier if I shoot with backdrops more often
Lightweight but, a little flimsy as a result

I do professional location shoots and have recently been doing commercial studio portraits. I got this backdrop support system for on the go shoots. It is a quick and easy setup; lightweight; strong enough to support my homemade 8x20 backdrops and the hand painted 8x8 muslins I've recently purchased. I'd highly recommend it to anyone on the go.

I was looking for a background support rig that had a telescopic cross bar for narrow and standard width paper rolls. This fit the bill and I am impressed with the quality for the price point.

Comments about Interfit COR760 Background Support with Telescopic Crossbar, Small:
Super lightweight and fit our needs to a T. We are primarily taking photos of our ceramics and needed something from which we could hang the paper backdrop. This rig works great! Very easy to handle, light and holds the paper just fine. Good value for the cost. Not sure how long it will last, but think with minimal set up it should be fine for a while. Would be great if you wanted to use it for a wedding backdrop - for guests coming in - to hang some simple backdrops from.

I purchased this product to use as part of a wedding "photo booth". It was SO easy to put together and worked like a charm with cute fabric draped over it as a backdrop for the photo. Highly recommended.
