I works great out of the box. On my iPhone a message pops up that it doesn't work together but ignore that. I plays a rich deep sound for such a little box. It charges also but make sure it recognizes the device or you could wake up with a dead unit.
I color changing feature is very cool. I want that for my tv room as a wall or ceiling.
Docking takes a little practice but otherwise no problem.

We just love this! At night to wind down with the kids we dim the ligths and listen to a relaxing playlist on this system and watch the glowing lights. We also like to move it around during the day to play music even take it out on the deck for dinner parties.
