It would have been 5 stars... I have bought several of these at about [$] and are very good value at [$] They are plastic, including the arm, with the exception of the knuckle that is metal alloy cast. The arm flexes and moves upon vibration so don't expet it to be ultra stable in a moving vehicle, specially if the attached equipment weighs more than 1/3 Lb. If it is sold for less than [$] and used in a stationary environment you will not be dissapointed. The price on this item should be corrected to match the item's build material and overall value. It IS a good suction mount but extremely overpriced under this brand. Get the B&H # DEFGM instead - for $3 less you get double suctions mounts and three times the value.
