This Photoflex StarliteQL Two-Light SilverDome Kit includes two medium (24x32") SilverDome heat-resistant softboxes, Starlite QL light fixtures with mounting rings, bulbs, light stands, and wheeled kit case. The long bulb of the Starlite extends directly into the center of the box, reflecting light evenly off all four sides. This maximizes both output and efficiency. The Starlite is a "flicker-free" light source, which provides a light quality that is soft, beautiful and natural looking, yet powerful enough for the demands of video or digital photography.
This kit is complete, and ready for set-up. An optional fabric grid is available for increased light control. Use the 24 x 32" silver interior softboxes for a family portrait, or intricate product set-up.

I purchased the Starlite QL two-light kit for use in video with an eye to also employ it in still portraits. On location, the two 1000w lights provided a very nice even light for an interview session. Very easy to set up. The bulbs stay hot for a bit too long, especially since they have to be removed in the break-down. The instructions definitely need a good edit and detailing but once you put it together the first time, you're off and running. The stands are very good quality and sturdy. The softbox is very easy to put together and, best of all, take apart. The case is enormous, giving you lots of room for packing beyond the kit. I picked this kit after seriously considering both halogen and fluorescent kits, and I'm very satisfied with my choice.

Well made kit. Construction is perfect and seems to be robust. The domes are stable on the stands and the case can be used to carry a lot of stuff.

This is a very well made kit! Softboxes are very durable and well manufactured. The medium weight stands do a good job for this size of softbox. I use the 1000 watt lamps with the StarliteQL fixtures which produce nice, clean, and even light. The carrying case that's included will hold a lot of gear and is well made.
I added the Photoflex HalfDome softbox and a boom to finish it all off.
This is a great all around setup, many uses for a low cost setup...Should last a long time.
