Photoflex LiteDome Kit 1 For Shoe Mount Flashes - X-Small (12x16")
This is a Photoflex X-Small LiteDome Kit 1. It is lightweight and portable. The included mounting hardware enables use of the 12 x 16" softbox with most shoe-mount flashes (except Sony-Minolta flashes). Add the optional Shoe Mount Multiclamp (AC-BSWCP) to provide tilt capability when using this kit with your light stand.
The Photoflex X-Small LiteDome Q39 Softbox with white interior is suitable for use with flash only. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the X-Small LiteDome with white interior is ideal for work in small spaces when only slight softening of your flash is desired.
Because of its small size, light quality will be more spectral with a faster gradation from highlight to shadow areas -- when you back it off from your subject.

This product performs exactly as described. My only objection is the design of the supports. They all fit into the speed ring at an odd angle, and therefore bend with the first installation. Now, this is not exactly a deal breaker, but it seems to me it could have been designed in such a way that I don't worry they will snap over time . . .

We used this outdoors, handheld for a group shot, along with a big reflector, and it worked out great. We also used it without any reflectors, and it filled in shadows nicely. Great tool for outdoor shooting! Have not used it indoors, but sure it will be fine.

I use this for headshots and fill light. Perfect for my speedlite , and even with my PW Flex TT5 on the shoe mount it still fits inside the speedring. I've got some great photos out of this and use it everytime I shoot! Small enough to take anywhere!

Mainly use for portraits,weddings and outdoor events.
So easy to put together and also very compact, fits in my camera bag so easy don't know its even there. Creates a beautiful soft light and also adds some catch lights to the subjects eye's, this is great should have purchased this a long time ago has so many benefits.Also I get to utilise my off camera speedlites more know than I used to, this is a bonus on its own.

Very easy to setup and tear down. Very well thought out product that has versatility to accomodate any speedlight from all manufacturers I am aware of.
Product is really 4.5 stars. Took .5 stars off because I wish the shoe mount connectors were better forged. They work well, just wish the finish were a bit better.

Pros:
Very well designed. Quick and easy to put together. Diffuses the strobe light very effectively. Compact design when folded and very light and portable.
Cons:
The main body material feels a little flimsy. I haven't used it enough to tell how durable it actually is, but I would of liked to of had it a little thicker even if there was extra weight.
Summary,
Overall I found this to be the best product in it's class to suite my needs. Portable, easy to assembled, well designed and compact when folded.
Four stars. I would given it five if it wasn't for the very thin material.

I've been looking for a small lightbox for tight areas where an umbrella spills too much light. I had a previous LDXS, and this one is much improved by the addition of the shoe mount bracket. When possible, I take it already put together, as this does take a couple of minutes. Seems to work well for 1 or 2 people, and is much better in tight spaces than an umbrella. As the strobe is outside the box, it still works with Nikon remote control.
