The Sunpak 6060 Tripod with a fluid effect pan head and quick release is a great economical full-size tripod. Oversized, single action locks with rubber leg tips and retractable spiked feet give non-skid stability.

Now I have a versatile tripod for both my camcorder and my SLR. I thought because of the low price it might have been flimsy but I couldn't be happier with the heft, design and ease of use. Such a deal. Also I love the extra mount included to make swapping cameras a snap.

Nice sturdy tripod but the tension spring on the quick release was slightly rusty. WD40 cleaned it up, but it shouldn't have been needed.

Comments about Sunpak 6060 Tripod with Fluid Effect Pan Head & Quick Release:
I use this tripod for all my shooting, whether that be indoor studio work, or when I am off for a hike. It is very easy to set up and the bullseye bubble level on the tripod makes it very fast to get level. The two quick release plates make it great if I were to switch to my video camera. This tripod also supports a very large weight which is also very helpful. When panning during video... going up and down is VERY smooth (but only if there is a lot of resistance). but as for panning from left to right...its hard to adjust the tightness and is usually shaky. If that was all you wanted out of this tripod...I would discourage you, but other than that, it is a very sturdy tripod that is definitely worth the money. One last complaint is that when the quick release plate is mounted on a dslr, the built in level cant be seen. So you must rely on the bullseye only.

Comments about Sunpak 6060 Tripod with Fluid Effect Pan Head & Quick Release:
This is a nicely made very lightweight tripod with lots of very nice features for the price. It doesn't have anything even resembling a fluid effect, it's uneven and jerky no matter how much I fiddled with the adjustments.

I bought this tripod for travel. It's light weight, yet very solid. A great value by it self which is even better with the free carry bag.

It works like a charm.
The movement is so smooth you would fall in love the first time you see it.
It is not flimsy at all.
Although it is not made for heavy duty and will break if you put heavy weight on it or run it over with you car.
But nothing should happen to it in everyday use.
It can get very high (like 7 foot) and gives you a nice view.
I connect my camera with exceptionally long USB cable and it gives excellent stop-motion pics.
It is a must for any beginner.

I use it to video record. I dont like how the camera attaches to it, the tightener is hard to use if you have big hands. It is an ok tripod, but I have use easier ones that you can adjust quicker.

this thing isn't even worth calling a fluid head. my friend's $15 tripod is much more fluid.

Comments about Sunpak 6060 Tripod with Fluid Effect Pan Head & Quick Release:
For the $$, this is a v.good value. Decent features and build quality. CLearly not a professional level tripod but a well featured product and more substantial and pretty smooth panning compared to my ultra compact tripod purchased nearly 30 years ago. As long as your'e at a low zoom it should be more than adequate for a novice+ photog.

I recently took my camcorder on a walk in a local park with moderately rough terrain. I attached the camcorder to the Sunpak tripod and carried it with the built-in handle. I could set it up quickly.

Nice price but not very fluid in the motion department. Actually kind of difficult to move about while filming without jumping or shaking.
