IDX A-E2EX3 Endura Power Adapter Plate
The IDX A-E2EX3 is an Endura battery power adapter plate. This device allows IDX Endura batteries to power the Sony PMW-EX3 camcorder and the PMW-EX30 recording deck. It offers a D-Tap 2-Pin output for 12VDC accessories.

- V-Plate configuration includes a D-Tap connector for simultaneously powering an on-board light such as the IDX X5-Lite or other 12VDC accessories.
- Mounting Options
- The A-E2EX3's battery compartment may be disengaged for alternative mounting options on the PMW-EX30 deck.

We have thousands of dollars invested in V type LiIon batteries the IDX adapter lets us use them in our new EX-3's. The extra weight of a large battery actually gives the camera better weight distribution. Highly recommended and reasonably priced. Gives us over 6 hours of run time with one of our Sony bricks.

Once attached the unit is one with the camera. I find that having the heavier, longer lasting batteries mounted off center helps balance the EX3. The battery position is adjustable in the vertical direction. The adapter makes connecting the SDI cable a little tricky but not too much. Just 2mm to the right would be nice. Also it allows me to continue to use the same V-mount batteries that run the rest of my cameras.

Great product. Small and versatile. Easily added and removed. Only wished it had one more power output. Other than that, a well designed product for the price. Better than ones costing twice as much.
