The HA-NCX78 in-ear headphones from JVC provide high-quality sound and a multi-noise reduction system, allowing you to enjoy your music without the distractions of the outside world. The noise reduction system reduces ambient noise by up to 88%, and also reduces wind noise, cable friction noise, and electrical noise. Neodymium drivers provide a wide, clear frequency response.
The earpieces come with memory foam eartips and 3 sizes of soft silicon eartips, allowing you to find the best fit for comfort and noise isolation. The cable's earloop design provides extra stability by directing cables around the ears. The cable provides plenty of slack, and has a gold-plated 3.5mm mini plug to provide compatibility with a wide variety of electronic devices. A dual-prong airplane plug is included for connecting to in-flight entertainment systems. The headphones can operate for up to 50 hours on a single AAA battery, and a handy carrying pouch is included.

I bought this product to use at the gym to cancel out the music that I didn't enjoy and to listen to the music of my choice. It doesn't work. I verified with 2 other people (by having them use the equipment) that, in fact, it didn't cancel out any noise at all.

I had purchased both the Sony equivalent earbuds and these and these earbuds fit way better in my ear, hence even better noise reduction. I use them when I mow the lawn and the mower sounds like is it a mower running down the block. Great investment! The only shortcoming is the length of the cord from the noise cancelling electronics to the earbuds, but the sony was as bad so I was used to it.

I have a pair of Sony noise canceling ear buds. I bought these for my wife. They work better than my Sonys! Like all earbuds you have to make sure the are well seated in your ear.
As with all nose canceling systems they only deal with the hum and constant drone sound. Very happy
