The American Dynamics DMV96Q-1 Multivision Quest Color Duplex Multiplexer can be used to display 16 CCTV cameras on one screen in color. Some of its advanced features include simultaneous live viewing and recording, and the ability to keep a camera covert by having it record without actually appearing on the screen.
Alarms can be triggered by a loss of video, by an external sensor device, or by motion detection, which can be programmed for area and sensitivity for each camera. Alarm conditions can be represented as an alarm text on the screen, an internal buzzing sound, or the triggering of an external relay device, available for each camera input. The multiplexer can also be programmed to increase the resolution of the affected camera during an alarm. Alarm dwell times can be set between 1 to 9,999 seconds. An internal memory system can store the history of up to 255 alarm events triggered by video loss or motion detection.
Another important feature of this multiplexer is the ability to manually adjust the video gain for individual cameras and thus boost a video signal weakened by long cable runs.
