I have been using the NeatDesk scanner with the neatreceipts software for a week now. I had previously used Paperless with my HP desktop printer. This scanner and software have vastly exceeded my expectations and surpassed the method I was using before. The best thing is that the scanner sorts the documents for you and automatically feeds the documents. Obviously it is MUCH easier than a flatbed scanner. It does double-sided documents and color. Bonus! The only drawback which is common for any OCR is that it does not always recognize text properly. I would highly recommend this product to an individual or small business wanted to go paperless or for those who are environmentally conscience.

I scan a lot of document that need to be OCR'd for full text search. The NeatDesk does a terrific job (even with very small legal print).
I no longer use my HP printer/scanner for this role because the Neat product is so fast and convenient.
Have been doing 10-15 documents a day as they surface and wouldn't think of going back to old methods.

The first few full-page scans were cutting off the top of the pages but worked fine after a reboot of the Mac and scanner.
Operation is fast though once in a while the dedicated Scan button on the unit is non-responsive (but the scan button in the software always works).
