International orders*The American Dynamics Fibre RAID Expansion Storage System (FRSS) is a secured storage solution for Network Video Recorders (NVR) like VideoEdge. In this storage system, data is written to a Storage Area Network (SAN) at a block level making it faster transferable, as opposed to file level, in a Network Attached Storage (NAS) environment. The unit minimizes the possibility of data loss by 72 hours - thanks to its battery that protects the cache.
The unit comes with a RAW 6TB storage capacity that can scale up to 51 drives. Three Fibre RAID expansion units can be interconnected one after another to the expansion unit to provide RAW 51 TB storage capacity.
With an option to configure the unit with the dual active-active controllers, the unit assures better failure tolerance, uninterrupted performance, and better up-time percentage.
The unit is pre-configured with RAID Levels of 0, 1, 5, and 10 in order to replicate and divide data amongst two or more hard disk drives. Support of hot spare drive is provided, which automatically comes in replacement for a failed drive in the array.
The expansion unit comes with two fibre channel ports for managing multiple storage devices and two Ethernet ports for connecting to network. The 2U unit also comes with a user friendly setup wizard for easy installation. Functions like network setting management can be achieved with the browser based GUI interfaced storage manager of the instrument.
