American Dynamics RS-422 Single Position Junction-Box (120VAC)

The American Dynamics RS-422 Single Position Junction-Box can be used indoors as well as outdoors. It is a weather-tight, single-position Junction-Box (J-Box) that meets Class 2 power requirements of the SpeedDome Ultra/Optima outdoor housings. The J-Boxes provide Class 2 LPS power and data communications for one programmable dome or one dome and outdoor dome housing. The RS-422 constitutes a single input included in the Junction-Box that receives data from a compatible controller and feeds that data to the dome.

The 120VAC Junction-Box is IP66/NEMA 4 rated, ensuring protection from moisture, dust, ice, wind, and insects. The nonmetallic enclosure is made of Polycarbonate that combines strength with light weight and effectively protects the contents from elements of nature. Two quick-release lockable cover latches and captive screws included in the J-Box provide security for its hinged front cover. Diagnostic LEDs for host, aux, dome, activity, noise, and power, as well as an on/off power switch are incorporated in the J-Box. It also comprises a surge protection circuitry that arrests unexpected voltage surges on exterior power and data lines to protect interior equipment.

The RS-422 Junction-Box can be surface-mounted to concrete, wood, or sheet rock with supplied hardware; and can also be mounted to a ceiling or pole. Wiring diagrams, quick installation instructions, and test procedures for the RS-422 Junction-Box are included inside the enclosure's cover.
