    I have been and SLR owner for years but the 50D is a much more complacated camera. That is why I purchased the DVD. It spent a lot of time on the basics of all cameras but very little time on white balance and no time on speicel settings in the menu. If this is the first SLR camera you own (lucky you) its great, otherwise its not.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
