It's the best pole under $ It's just a little heavier than most. I love this boom pole, and would recommend it to anyone.

question

Can I take apart the pole on either end to untangle the XLR? How is this done?
Asked by: Chris
You can remove the allen head screws at the xlr connector base and untwist the coiled cable. The cable is very thin though so be gentle with it. I removed mine altogether after having issues with the wire on a film shoot and was disappointed at the lack of durability with the cable itself. The pole is decent for the price although I found the machining at the knurling to be abrasive to my hands as well as to cables so I sanded the knurls with emery paper. Hope this helps answer your question.
