The American Dynamics AD2033-1 Matrix Auxiliary Follower comprises two groups containing 16 addressable Form-C relays each (making a total of 32), which can be set to follow one of three possible auxiliary actions for each video input. Switching of external circuits synchronized with switching of auxiliary contacts associated with individual video inputs is initiated when the followers interface with American Dynamics Matrix Switcher/Controller systems.
The auxiliary action can be controlled manually - through keyboard commands, or automatically - in the event of an alarm signal being fired. Auxiliaries such as graphic display panels and auxiliary lighting can be activated by the relays and they could also play a part in coordinating with alarm call-ups. Additional relay closures for additional cameras are provided by cascading multiple units. The Auxiliary Follower's universal mount facilitates front/rear mounting on equipment racks as well as flat mounting on a wall or horizontal surface.
