Livescribe 1GB Pulse Smartpen
The 1GB Pulse Smartpen from Livescribe is an innovative tool, designed with students in mind. When used with special Livescribe notebooks, the pen is able to record handwritten notes digitally. These notes can be downloaded to your computer and converted to fully searchable text.
Additionally, the smartpen records audio via its integrated microphone -- allowing you to go back and hear what your professor was saying, just in case you missed a crucial point in your notes. The smartpen's software syncs handwritten notes with audio, allowing you to directly access the audio that was being recorded as you were writing a specific note.

- Power button can be used to turn the pen on and off; holding it for 2 seconds can start audio recording
- Integrated microphone works with on-board noise-cancelling software to record crisp, clear sound
- Built-in speaker plays back recorded audio and provides audio feedback for smartpen applications. Tap the volume buttons on your dot paper to adjust speaker volume
- High-speed infrared camera with Dot Positioning System (DPS) tracks everything you write, tap, or draw on Livescribe Dot Paper. The DPS not only enables printed controls for recording and playback on each page, but also interactive paper-based applications
- The ink cartridges in the Pulse Smartpen are easily replaceable. Two ink cartridges are included
