camRade WS HVRZ1/Z5 wetSuit
The camRade WS HVRZ1/Z5 wetSuit (Black) is a soft flexible, waterproof PVC cover that can be used around a camcorder with complete access to the controls, zoom and LCD monitor screen. The noiseless cotton interior fabric reduces noise from wind and rain. The cover has vinyl windows to view the controls. It has elastic and zipper closures and is packed in a zippered pocket.
This is a fitted cover designed for a Sony HVR-Z1 HDV/DVCAM or HVR-Z5 HDV handheld camcorder.

I ordered this for my Sony Z5U. It IS a bit awkward but what rain cover isn't? I love the see-through panels, they're all over the place, which gives me some flexibility as far as how I position my monitor. I wish I had ordered this BEFORE my last field shoot. Having a rain suit that actually fits is really important. This one is perfect!

Mainly use it if there is any sign of rain when shooting an outdoor event. Its difficult to put on, so if there is a chance where you need to put it on quickly, make sure you do it well before the event, because you wont have time during shooting. It's too fiddly, but better than getting a wet camera!
