Utilizing two oculars and a single multi-coated objective lens, this high-powered NVD pulls distant subjects in close for a detailed three-dimensional viewing experience.
This long-range viewing device offers green-hued clarity via highly-specialized optics and a top-notch image intensifier. This premium optoelectronic combination delivers excellent imaging under low-light viewing conditions. In no-light situations, the integral IR illuminator provides ample supplementary illumination so you can see, while remaining unseen by the human eye.
The Night Shadow also provides an advance feature set, with user-friendly digital controls. Embedded in the heart of this night vision device is ATN's exclusive SMART technology, which activates or deactivates the unit when it is brought into or out of the viewing position. This system helps to conserve battery power, and maximize the life-span of the intensifier tube.

There are many variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device; the object's size, ambient weather and lighting conditions, the level of detail needed for recognition, etc. The important factors to consider when evaluating any night vision device are the generation of the intensifier tube along with its specified resolution and s/n ratio. The magnification, clarity, and light transmission performance of the NVD's optics also contribute to its low/no-light performance capabilities.
All NVDs sold by B&H feature bright-light protection systems. However, this does not mean that bright light can/will not damage the device. Exposure to bright light compromises the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.Note!

- Resolution: 45-54 lp/mm Second generation intensifiers achieve improved performance with the addition of a micro channel plate. The MCP increases the system's gain and resolution by acting as an electron multiplier. Gen-2 tubes last longer, deliver clearer images, and are less reliant upon auxiliary IR illumination than older night vision technology.
