The iProfile from Ion is a vinyl record player with a USB output and an integrated iPod dock. Connect the iProfile to a stereo system or amplified speakers and it can be used as a regular record player, or connect it to a computer via USB to easily transfer your vinyl records to your hard drive. The built-in iPod docking station on the iProfile enables you to record your vinyl records directly onto your iPod. Easy-to-use vinyl conversion software for Mac and Windows computers is included, so you'll have all the audio gear you need to play and digitize vinyl.
The front panel of the iProfile features controls to navigate and play songs from your iPod. You have the option to charge - or not to charge your iPod when it's docked to the iProfile. When your computer is connected to the USB output, and your iPod is docked, you can sync your iPod to your computer through the iProfile with a dedicated sync button. An external auxiliary input on the back of the iProfile allows you to connect another device (such as a cassette player) and digitize its output into your computer.
Whether you're looking for your first vinyl turntable to get into the wonderful world of record collecting, or you're looking for your last turntable to digitize your albums into your computer, the iProfile is a great cost-effective choice.

Comments about Ion iProfile - USB Turntable with Direct-to-iPod Transfer:
Yes, it will record straight to your iPod, without the use of a computer, as long as you have a 5th, 6th, or 7th gen Classic, or a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Gen Nano.
Without a computer, the songs will go into Voice Memos, not iTunes, and have no titles, just the date and time you recorded them. The manual says this can be remedied by hooking it all up to a computer, then moving files around and naming each song.
I am just getting used to it all, hopefully I can get the hang of it. I have a lot of LP's and I still think it's worth the purchase price to go this route rather than search iTunes and pay for each song.
You can plug a tapedeck into it and upload your cassette tapes too!
