The Ion VIDEO 2 PC is a video conversion system that captures, converts, and improves the quality of nearly any video and audio source. The result is high-quality digital videos on your computer. You can watch your upgraded videos on your computer, record them onto a DVD, or load them onto your portable video player, such as PSP or iPod.

Even if you are uncormfortable around a computor, a couple clicks of the mouse and you are off and running...GREAT STUFF

Used this with an old Hi8 camcorder to relay old family videos to my laptop, works like a charm! just plugged it all in and streaming it did.
The only problem I had was the software, it feels very dated, and did not use it for streaming or editing.

tapes actually uploads into the computer and set up was easy
there may be some problems with putting the files on disc

Simple to use. Just follow the included instructions and there you have it. My new laptop didn't have a firewire port so I couldn't transfer my camcorder tapes to my computer. This took care of that.
The quality of the transfer isn't great but it isn't poor either.
