The Xonar D2X PCI Express Sound Card from ASUS is a PCI Express sound card, intended for use with Windows PCs. The sound card provides much cleaner audio quality, up to 118db SNR, than most motherboard sound cards can produce. It is bundled with Cakewalk and Ableton Live music production software.
The card is loaded with Dolby Home Theater technologies, and also supports the DTS surround sound system. Gamers will appreciate the support for DirectSound and EAX in Windows Vista. VoIP users will appreciate the card's Acoustics Echo Cancellation (AEC) voice processing function, which helps to improve the quality of online voice communication by canceling unwanted noise.
