The Sony KDL-40VE5 40" Bravia VE5 Eco Series LCD HDTV combines a set of advanced technologies to produce stunning images from a wide variety of content choices. The HDTV delivers full 1080p resolution to ensure optimal resolution from digital TV, Blu-ray discs, home entertainment systems, digital cameras, camcorders, and other devices.
Key to the unit's high-end performance is Sony's Motionflow 120Hz technology, which produces smoother, sharper motion for sports, gaming, movies, and other action content. The Bravia's 24p True Cinema feature also improves the quality of 24p video sources such as films by displaying them at the 24 fps (frames per second) speed at which they were originally shot. The HDTV's Dynamic Contrast feature yields deeper blacks and fine details in dark areas of the picture.
Compatibility with BraviaLink modules enables you to expand the capabilities of your HDTV by adding a space-saving DVD player, four additional HDMI connections, and wireless control. Additionally, Bravia Sync offers easy connectivity and control of specified Sony camcorders and digital cameras.
To maximize the versatility and entertainment value of the Bravia, Sony has included a full complement of inputs and outputs, allowing convenient hookup of virtually any digital or analog device, including PCs and USB-enabled equipment.
The Bravia features several technologies that not only enhance the viewing experience, but also reduce unnecessary power consumption. LightSensor technology adjusts the HDTV's backlight in response to room lighting conditions, while Dynamic Backlight Control performs a similar function to optimize image quality. Presence Sensor turns off the backlight when you leave the room for a specified period. In addition, an Energy Saving Switch reduces power consumption to zero in standby mode.

Usage: Everyday normal TV usage, Sporting events
Pros: Crisp, Clear picture and sound
Cons: none at the moment
*note there was mention on other reviews that there was a sound issue regarding vibration on the front speaker, however I have not encountered this problem of yet with mine (crossing fingers). So I can't really put this as a negative.
