Innovative features and brilliant performance come together in the Sony KDL-52W5100 52" Bravia W Series LCD HDTV. In addition to delivering outstanding images from broadcast and cable TV, Blu-ray discs, game systems, camcorders, and digital cameras, the Bravia displays news and entertainment from the Internet that you can customize from your couch.
Images are rendered in full HD, courtesy of the Bravia's 1080p resolution, while the action in sports, movies, and games is smoother and sharper, due to Sony's Motionflow 120Hz refresh rate.
But the real news is several features that let you capture and display Internet content to expand and enhance your viewing choices. Bravia Internet Widgets offer one-button access to timely information that appears on your screen in addition to the main picture. Bravia Internet Video works with your home broadband connection to deliver online content such as video and music from more than 20 brand-name suppliers. What's more, you'll have free access to TV Guide's Interactive Program Guide.
You'll also be glad to know that the Bravia W-Series HDTVs comply with Digital Living Network Alliance standards, enabling you to access your digital files stored on a PC. To simplify access, the Bravia includes Sony's Xross Media Bar interface, which is familiar to users of other Sony devices.
Compatibility with Bravia Link modules enables you to expand the capabilities of your HDTV by adding a space-saving DVD player, four additional HDMI connections, and wireless control. Additionally, Bravia Sync offers easy connectivity and control of specified Sony camcorders and digital cameras.
To maximize the versatility and entertainment value of the Bravia, Sony has included a full complement of inputs and outputs, allowing convenient hookup of virtually any digital or analog device, including PCs and USB-enabled equipment.
The Bravia features several technologies that enhance not only the viewing experience, but also reduce unnecessary power consumption. LightSensor technology adjusts the HDTV's backlight in response to room lighting conditions, while Dynamic Backlight Control optimizes image quality.

I love my Sony TV It is everything that they said it would be. Worked right out of the box!Vivid setting is awesome--made the best choice for the money Haven't connected to Internet yet but am excited to do it. Price was right and free shipping was a major plus. Set up was done for me by shipper- get the white glove treatment- was well worth it.

Comments about Sony KDL-52W5100 52" Bravia W Series LCD HDTV:
The KDL 52W5100 is a great buy for the price and all the features it comes with.
The single most defining factor for me in purchasing this is its connectivity to the Internet and I can stream videos from YouTube, NetFlix, CBS etc.,
The picture quality is fantastic and the sound is not that bad.
The setup was a breeze. The menu is easy to use and everything was up in less than 5 min.
If I had a little more money, I would have gone for the XBR, but the biggest difference is just the refresh rate and at 120Hz this isnt very bad either.

I have attached the following devices to the TV with excellent picture and sound from all sources:
BD player
PC via HDMI
Wii console
PS2 console
The TV works great with NetFlix and Slacker radio.
Internet widgets are kinda weak and a little silly.

Comments about Sony KDL-52W5100 52" Bravia W Series LCD HDTV:
The KDL-52W5100 Sony Bravia LCD HDTV is beautiful in every way. The aesthetics are one thing to marvel at, but the picture and True 1080p picture is another.
I've recently upgraded from a 720p Bravia Projector to this 1080p LCD HDTV in our "theater room". So far, it's the best thing that's happened to the room. The 1080p picture is something to marvel at with standard definition, but throw a Blu-Ray disc in and it's a new reality.
The menu system with this model is nicely designed and "eases" in and out of your viewing area as you call it up. I am very impressed with the look and design.
The only thing I've ran into that I haven't fully liked is the DNLA media server recognition. You must be running a media server that is DNLA certified (or capable) in order to use this feature on the TV. I use a media server, the "PS3 Media Server" (not made by Sony), that works great on my PS3, but won't be accepted by this TV. I'm not crushed by this, but it just doesn't make sense that it wouldn't work. I'll probably just find another media server that is supported if I actually want to use this feature.
The audio is pretty decent for a TV too. There are two normal speakers at the bottom of the set and two tweeters toward the top on the back. Great design for a TV. Overall, this TV is a must buy if you want a great picture at a reasonable price.
