Innovative features and brilliant performance come together in the Sony KDL-40W5100 40" Bravia W Series LCD HDTV. In addition to delivering outstanding images from broadcast and cable TV, Blu-ray discs, game systems, camcorders, and digital cameras, the Bravia displays news and entertainment from the Internet that you can customize from your couch.
Images are rendered in full HD, courtesy of the Bravia's 1080p resolution, while the action in sports, movies, and games is smoother and sharper, due to Sony's Motionflow 120Hz refresh rate.
But the real news is several features that let you capture and display Internet content to expand and enhance your viewing choices. Bravia Internet Widgets offer one-button access to timely information that appears on your screen in addition to the main picture. Bravia Internet Video works with your home broadband connection to deliver online content such as video and music from more than 20 brand-name suppliers. What's more, you'll have free access to TV Guide's Interactive Program Guide.
You'll also be glad to know that the Bravia W-Series HDTVs comply with Digital Living Network Alliance standards, enabling you to access your digital files stored on a PC. To simplify access, the Bravia includes Sony's Xross Media Bar interface, which is familiar to users of other Sony devices.
Compatibility with Bravia Link modules enables you to expand the capabilities of your HDTV by adding a space-saving DVD player, four additional HDMI connections, and wireless control. Additionally, Bravia Sync offers easy connectivity and control of specified Sony camcorders and digital cameras.

Easy to set up. Best to have 2 people to do it. The mounting to the stand is easy and very positive and sturdy. Like the look of the narrow bezel vs other brands. Nice sharp picture, good viewing at angles. We bought it for the BR but it's too big so we moved it to the LR and gave way a giant 36" CRT TV. It looks and works great in the LR with our surround sound system. Have not played DVD's yet our player needs replacing and soon getting HD...can't wait! Tried the internet widgets with a hard wire to router...it's kind of a toy to play with right now....maybe more updates later. Overall we are pleased with our purchase.
