Canon's top of the line offering for 2009, the Legria HF S10 Dual Flash Memory High Definition 'PAL' Camcorder, provides an impressive 8.59Mp CMOS sensor along with HD recording. This dynamic duo gives you excellent video and 8Mp still images with up to 12 hours of high definition recording to the built-in 32GB flash memory. If you run out of space there's also the SDHC expansion slot, which can hold another 12 hours of HD footage.
Flash memory keeps this camcorder light and compact while high definition gives you excellent image capture. But helping you make your video and stills even better would be the DIGIC DV III Image Processor along with the 10x HD Video Lens, 2.7" wide LCD and the SuperRange Optical Image Stabilizer.
The HF S10 gives the casual home movie maker Face Detection and Pre-record functions to ensure they always get the shot as well as more advanced features for the aspiring film-maker. Microphone and headphone terminals along with the Mini Advanced Accessory shoe help to capture high quality audio. In addition, 25p Cinema mode mode gives your footage a professional look and feel.

- Record up to 12 hours of HD footage to the 32GB internal flash memory. Expand your recording time by using an optional SDHC memory card.

- Capture vivid colors and clean images with the 8.59Mp Full HD CMOS sensor. Along with the DIGIC DV III Image Processor you'll see excellent color reproduction, reduced image noise and great low light recordings.
- 10x HD Video Lens
- The 10x HD Video Lens captures landscapes and tight shots easily, while providing 4 fixed zoom speeds for fluid transitions. The super spectra coating keeps flare and ghosting at bay while the lens' aspheric design cuts down on aberration while boosting resolution.
- 2.7" Multi-Angle Vivid Widescreen LCD
- The multi-angle widescreen LCD gives you a generous display on which to compose and playback your shots, not to mention the ability to shoot from more angles. The hard coat Anti-Reflection surface reproduces color accurately with reduced glare and enhanced contrast.
- 8Mp Digital Stills
- Capture 8Mp digital photos to SDHC memory cards and enjoy special functions that make shooting easier, like the Histogram Display, scene modes and auto focus. You can also simultaneously capture still images while shooting video or capture stills from already recorded footage.
- SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization
- Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer corrects for hand shake, moving subjects and the inevitable slight bump. SuperRange Gyro and image sensors also correct for a wider range of incidents such as body sway and recording in a moving car, all while ensuring no loss in image quality.
