The Canon Legria HF S100 HD PAL Camcorder boasts lightweight design and a generous 8.59Mp CMOS sensor. The camera can record up to 6 hours of HD video to a removable SDHC card as well as 8Mp digital stills. Working with the HD sensor to help make all your memories beautiful would be the 10x HD Video Lens, 2.7" Multi-Angle Widescreen LCD and SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization, while features such as Face Detection and Pre-record mode, among others, help the casual shooter get the shot.

The HF S100 goes beyond home movies with features specially included for the aspiring film-maker. The camera has microphone and headphone terminals and a Mini Advanced Accessory shoe for holding external lights and mics. Not only that, but 25p Cinema mode gives your video a film-look.

The HF S100 is a lightweight, convenient camcorder that gives you great quality images and then some.

• Record HD Video to SDHC Memory Cards: Record up to 6 hours of high definition video to removable SDHC memory cards. Recording to SDHC flash memory cards keeps things simple and frees you up from carrying around bulky media

• Image Sensor & DIGIC DV III: Capture vivid color and clean images with the 8.59Mp Full HD CMOS sensor. Along with the DIGIC DV III Image Processor you'll see excellent color reproduction, reduced image noise and great low light recordings

• Canon 10x HD Video Lens: The 10x HD Video Lens captures landscapes and tight shots easily, while providing 4 fixed zoom speeds for fluid transitions. The Super Spectra Coating keeps flare and ghosting at bay while the lens' aspheric design cuts down on aberration and boosts resolution

• 2.7" Multi-Angle Vivid Widescreen LCD: The multi-angle widescreen LCD gives you a generous display on which to compose and playback your shots, not to mention the ability to shoot from more angles. The hard coat Anti-Reflection surface reproduces color accurately with reduced glare and enhanced contrast

• 8Mp Digital Stills: Capture 8Mp digital photos to SDHC memory cards and enjoy special functions that make shooting easier, like the Histogram Display, scene modes and auto focus. You can also simultaneously capture still images while shooting video or capture stills from already recorded footage

• SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization: Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer corrects for hand shake, moving subjects and the inevitable slight bump. SuperRange Gyro and image sensors also correct for a wider range of incidents such as body sway and recording in a moving car as well as ensuring no loss in image quality
