Overall it works on all the devices promised. Only a few issues:
Set up requires the make/models involved; if you type one wrong the set up goes into learning mode trying to figure it out. It is easier to just delete the original entry and start over.
Since the on/off and mute settings are toggles, switching to different configurations doesn't seem to handle the reciever setting correctly. You have to turn all off and then pick the setting, or manually switch to the device and change the settings.
But still better than 4 remotes. The DirectTV never handled the TV correctly, and none of the others.
Expect to spend some time learing the in/outs of the set up. It is pretty friendly, but not totally brainless.
It is not totally spouse proof because of the toggling issue. If you start with the wrong button, or move the remote before every device has the correct settings it can be heck getting back to the correct settings. There is a help that walks you through the corrections, but it is just easier to fix manually.

I've had it about two weeks and I'm still trying to figure it out. I still have my other three remotes out on the table because sometimes it's easier to use those. The harmony is quite difficult to set up and takes a while. Then, it still doesn't do everything the other remotes do even after I've trained new buttons. I'm just disappointed with this product at this point.

I was impressed with the first Logitech universal remote and how with the use of the Logitech web site it found all my components and programmed the remote. The website has been updated with over 250000 components and really enjoy the ease of programming and use. It was very easy to program. Also like the rechargeable batteries. Great Product!

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
I needed a replacement for my dead Sony Remote Commander. I bought this version of the remote since I did not need to control more than 6 devices. I am happy with my purchase, we went from 4 remotes to just this one. Even my wife thinks it is easy to use. Programming was fairly easy, it even works on my older equipment. The only trouble was with the sync at the end of programming, sometimes it froze, and I had to disconnect and start over with any new changes. That is why I gave only 4 stars.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
I use this remote to control a TV, receiver, DVD player and cable set top box.
Setting up the functions using the Harmony software was simple and effective. You push one button to "Watch a Movie", one button to "Watch TV", etc and your remote turns on and off the correct stuff. Only nit pick would be with the software which could be a little more user-friendly in terms of more "specialized" commands, such as leave the Cable box on all the time. I also have an older model Harmony 680 that is still going strong.

The more I use it the more I like it. Once I had all the right model numbers and manufacturers setup was a breeze. I didn't find the software at all confusing. I have just started to play with adding commands and configuring the soft keys. (on either side of the screen) It works better than some of the original remotes! Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I got this for my wife because she had so much trouble using multiple remotes. She loves it and has no problem using it. The help function gets her back to where she belongs if something does go wrong.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
It's a quality product and it does what it says. My only problems are I wish you could use the software to set this one (harmony 700) up instead of doing it online. Also I wish you could set up two or more remotes on the same account. Small problems, so I would still recommend this remote to anyone!!

I am quite satisfied with this remote. It can control all the devices I have. i replaced couple of remotes with this and now it is easier to operate everything with just one remote. Its rechargeable and one charge last couple of weeks (depends on usage though). It takes a while to set everything up but its worth it in the end. Overall excellent product.

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
I have an Onkyo AV receiver w/ipod dock, cable box/dvr, dvd player, and the TV. Programming was very easy with provided USB connector and laptop. Two (small) weaknesses: numeric keypad layout being at the very bottom of the remote is a bit awkward (would be better if higher up on the unit) and scrolling through the screen is somewhat awkward as well. EG, sometimes the "next" and "back" functions are on consecuvtive screens instead of being paired to appear together.

This is the third Harmony/Logitech remote I've owned and used. Each has been as advertised. Just bought two 700's, one for my den and the other as agift for my brother. Hard to go wrong with these remotes.

Man, have I needed this thing. Switching back and forth between 6 remotes was getting old. Finally convinced my wife we should get one and now she LOVES it. She says it's the best piece of electronics I have ever bought, and I've bought a lot of electronics. The remote replaces six different remotes and is very easy to program. I also love how intuitive it is. If I think a button will do what I need it to do, 95% of the time it does. It also learns, so it improves as you use it. A GREAT product!

Comments about Harmony/Logitech Harmony 700 Advanced Universal Remote:
Used it to make a conference room come to life - easy. The only complaint I would possibly have is this: the projector (Optoma) required two presses from the power button to shut it off. Fix: Had to add two Power Toggle IR commands 200ms apart to be sent to the projector at the end of the shutdown macro. Works like a champ. The fact that it uses rechargeable batteries is a plus. Considering buying additional units to consolidate all of my remotes.
