Cokin CH570 Cokin Special Effects Filter Kit with P Series Holder (P164 and P170 Glass Filters)

This is the Cokin CH570 Special Effects Filter Kit with P Series Holder. It consists of a "P" Series 164 Circular Polarizing Filter and a Cokin P170 Varicolor Red/Green Special Color Effect Glass Filter. This kit permits you to achieve special effects that would normally not be achievable with traditional filters. You can enhance scenics as well as create "departure from reality" images.

Circular Polarizing Filter
Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun. 

Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems).

Varicolor Red/Green Special Color Effect Glass Filter
Cokin Pola-Color filters come in three types: Red, Blue and Yellow. These Pola-Color filters allow you to take polarized pictures with color. If you combine a Pola-Color with a Neutral Polarizer, you can vary the intensity by rotating the Neutral Polarizer.

For example, depending on the relative rotation of the Pola-Color Yellow filter and the Neutral Polarizer, the reflections become either a slight yellow tint or extreme yellow tint. When used alone, the Pola-Color colors the entire image with its own hue.
