The American Dynamics Intellex RDVEXP02 USB RS-232 Text Data Expander allows users to collect text data from sources such as ATMs and cash registers, offering more control over a surveillance system.
The text data expander has four RS-232 jacks that can be attached to devices that output text. The expander is also compatible with a range of American Dynamics MegaPower matrix switchers. Connection to the Intellex unit is via USB.
Intellex hardware versions 2.1 or above and Intellex software versions 2.4 or above are required for the data expander to function. The expander has a length of 1 meter minimizing the "rats-nest" appearance behind surveillance units.
