The MacBook Air from Apple is thin. Really, really thin. In designing this ultraportable notebook Apple decided to sacrifice neither usability nor style. The laptop, which weighs only three pounds, is housed in a sleek aluminum shell. It features a full-sized notebook keyboard, complete with an ambient light sensor and backlit keys. The computer is designed to meet the needs of professionals who demand an ultraportable computer.
The computer's glossy widescreen display features a resolution of 1280 x 800, giving you enough screen real estate for daily tasks. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB of RAM, and features 802.11n Airport Extreme Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 128GB Solid State hard drive.
All this hardware runs on Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system. The MacBook Air is an excellent choice for professionals who demand an ultraportable, yet fully functional, notebook computer.

Comments about Apple MacBook Air Notebook Computer:
Use mainly for work. As I travel frequently, this is a perfect travel laptop- very light, larger screen than other liteweight PCs, and very fast to boot. When you close the lid, the laptop goes to sleep- I can leave it that way for days and still have plenty of battery life left. When I open it, it starts up right away.

Comments about Apple MacBook Air Notebook Computer:
It's really fast when it boots up. When I use Parallels, it still works very smoothly. Before I buy it, I was a little bit concerning about that 2G ram is not enough. It turns out that 2G ram is fair enough for me, since this machine has a SSD drive installed.
Great machine. The only con is that there is only one UBS port, and it's not so convenient sometimes.

Comments about Apple MacBook Air Notebook Computer:
I'm traveling to Europe this summer, with a TIGHT carry-on limit: one bag, maximum thickness 20 cm, maximum weight 8 kg. The thin, light MacBook Air is what I needed. Editing photos on its 13" screen with touchpad is a challenge compared to my desktop iMac with trackball; but it's a necessary compromise.
