This Bonica Snapper Dive HDDV Comb Plus Kit includes everything you need to create video of your adventures underwater. The underwater digital media camcorder features the innovative XP system (stands for extra protection) that safeguards the camcorder against moisture by having a completely water-tight silicone skin around the camera, much like a dry suit. While inside the Skin, the camcorder is protected from moisture, so it is fit for all outdoor activities. The Skin protects the camcorder from rain, snow, sand and scratches. When the camcorder is inside the hard housing, it is ready to be submerged to 180'. In case moisture gets inside the housing, the digital camera is fully protected.
The Bonica Snapper Dive HDDV is a miniature camera that resembles some digital still photo cameras in its vertical layout. It has an 2.4" LED monitor that allows easy and fun framing, even when wearing a mask. The Bonica Snapper Dive HDDV does not use video tape, but writes onto inexpensive SD cards. In fact, a 4 GB card will record over 90 minutes of video. Because the recording process uses no moving parts, the card can be reused far more times than a video cassette. 5 Mega-pixel digital stills, digital stabilization, and a built-in video light are just some of the features this stylish camera comes with.
The included Bonica MT-09 Video Light is designed to provide a clean and natural light source. The light provides the underwater videographer with even lighting coverage and a constant light temperature. The lamp produces a bright 5000° K light which is needed to bring out the true natural colors of the underwater world. The power is switchable from 50 to 25W.
The compact light is constructed of aluminum and is rated to a depth of 330' (100m). The light uses a Lithium-ion Polymer battery that is included. This gives you a continuous burn time of 45 minutes on full power and one hour on the low setting. The light comes with a aluminum tray and handle that allows you to attach the MT-09 to the Bonica Snapper Dive HDDV housing. This allows you to aim the light in any direction.
Lights are extremely important for your underwater imaging system. The ocean is one big, blue filter. As you descend, the reds and oranges quickly become muted shades of blue and gray. Shining a color corrected light source on your subject will bring back your subjects natural color. When it is better to use available light for your subject, the kit also includes a bluewater and greenwater color correction filter.
Image quality increases greatly when you move in close and eliminate as much water as possible between you and your subject. The included Bonica Wide-Angle Conversion Lens has a 58° angle of view. This allows you to get closer to large subjects. The kit also includes a soft travel case for all your Bonica gear.
