LensCoat BodyBag Compact with Lens (Black)
The black BodyBag Compact with Lens from LensCoat is a camera body and lens cover made from soft shock-absorbing neoprene. It is designed to fit a compact D-SLR Body with 4.5" lens without an optional body grip installed without an optional body grip installed. It protects a compact digital SLR camera body and lens from the nicks, dings and scratches of accidental impact. It also keeps the camera body and lens free from dust and dirt as well as protects it from the elements. The bag also has a removable front element protection disc made from rigid plastic and firm foam to further protect the lens from impact damage.
The BodyBag Compact with Lens has a touch fastener closure that makes storage and access quick and easy. This version comes in a matte all-black finish to better blend in where desirable. Or, it can be used just for its protection value.

Bought this to carry my Canon Rebel T2i with an 18-135mm lens in my backpack. The Bodybag Compact was just big enough for this camera/lens combo. Cushioning is very minimal, hence the 3-star rating. So, I think cushioning could be better without being overly bulky in order to provide better protection. Also, description is not the best as far as cameras that this fits. I would recommend getting the next model size up if you are ever going to use it for a camera comparable to my T2i with a larger lens. I intend to get another to fit my T2i with my 70-300mm lens.

Bought this to carry my Canon Rebel T2i with an 18-135mm lens in my backpack. The Bodybag Compact was just big enough for this camera/lens combo. Cushioning is very minimal, hence the 3-star rating. I wanted a lightweight cover to slip over my SLR so when I was out hiking or camping I didn't have my large bag to carry around. This is a good solution. I'd had the case in light rain too and it seemed to hold up just fine. It compact and light, so that I only carry my camera and it's easy to get the camera in and out of the case when I want it. The only reason I would want anything different would be to have a backpack style with two straps instead of just my camera strap.

I have the BodyBag compact with lens for my wife's XTi.and I use the pro version of this pouch for my 50D with battery grip and small lenses. We especially like the fact that the lens portion of the pouch is reinforced with plastic/foam giving extra protection. The pouch is lightweight and gives good protection when i have it in my backpack or camera bag. Well built.

I sometimes carry my camera in my day pack (18L) when hiking so just wanted something that would protect my camera from keys, water bottles, trail mix, sunglasses etc. This fits the bill perfectly! Fits like a glove on my t1i with kit lens and with the body bag on, my camera still fits well in the day pack. I only own the kit lens now so I don't know if the bag fits longer lenses but it does seem to stretch a little so a slightly longer lens might be ok too.

This size is a snug fit for a Pentax K-7 with either of the kit lens. You need to stretch the case around the camera but it fits without any extra material. But that's what I was looking for. Something to protect the camera and lens during a walk-about.
