This Lastolite Flash Mount Adapter for the Ezybox II Hot Shoe Flash Softbox is made to allow your Quantum Q flash to work with the Ezybox II. Because the Quantum Q flash has a unique physical design, this workaround interface is required.
First, affix this adapter to your flash. Next, this adapter affixes to the #2414 Ezybox Bracket, and then you've got a system that will work with all of the remaining Ezybox accessories such as extending handle, tilting head, etc.
The Quantum Q flash is larger and more powerful than normal shoe-mounted flashes, and as such can particularly benefit from the larger Ezybox Hotshoe softbox (B&H item code "LAEBHSB24").

I recently found the Lasolite soft boxes primarily for small portable hot-shoe flashes like the Nikon SB-900. it's great for them, although for quite a while I've searched for a soft box that would work with a Quantum Q-flash, finally with the handy Lasotie Quantum Q-Flash Series Flash Mount Adapter my search is over, this is terrific, works perfectly, adapts quickly, is tight, sturdy and makes for a wonderful soft even light, just exactly what I've been looking for, it solves a problem of modifying the portable battery powered light from the quantum with relative ease.

GOOD:This bracket positions my bare bulb QFlash T5D-R perfectly in the Lastolite softbox.NOT GOOD:You won't be able to use this as is. You'll need to purchase a 1/4-20 bolt to attach the QFlash to the bracket. This is only the pictured bracket and does NOT include any mounting hardware to attach the QFlash!SOLUTION:I ordered a 10 pack of a DimcoGray knobs from [...] which work perfectly (DimcoGray PN: 2-285-328). I'm not sure why the manufacturer doesn't include something similar with this bracket.

Quantum is a joke. They're products are nice but they are overpriced and overly proprietary.[$] for a piece of aluminum?$23.50 for a piece of nylon strap with a plastic buckle?$29.95 for a double sided mounting screw? Hey quantum, why not just make your Freexwires have a 1/4"x20 threading like most everything else in photography - then people won;t have to buy your $20.00 adapter!

Positions the Quantum head perfectly in the Lastolite EZY Softbox. Does not come with a 1/4x20 screw needed to attach to the Quantum. I used an old Magestic Tripod screw with a tension adjustment ring to attach it.
